Laser Photonics offers cleaning systems for truck maintenance standards

June 9, 2026 8:33 AM

Laser Photonics Corporation (NASDAQ: LASE) announced its CleanTech laser cleaning systems help commercial vehicle remanufacturing shops comply with TMC RP 374 guidelines for diesel particulate filter and diesel oxidation catalyst maintenance.

The RP 374 guidelines were introduced by the Technology & Maintenance Council of the American Trucking Association to standardize maintenance protocols for DPFs and DOCs. While the guidelines focus on interior cleaning, Laser Photonics addresses exterior preparation requirements for successful reassembly.

The company's automated laser cleaning systems remove accumulated grime, corrosion, and soot from DPF and DOC exterior housings. The technology uses a non-contact laser beam to vaporize contaminants without chemicals or abrasives.

"We deliver custom robotic CleanTech solutions that help fleet service shops align with strict maintenance protocols like RP 374," said Wayne Tupuola, CEO of Laser Photonics. The company implemented an automated system at a remanufacturing facility in Utah several years ago.

The laser cleaning systems operate without generating hazardous waste and eliminate the need for disposal of cleaning materials. The technology aims to accelerate maintenance cycles and reduce turnaround times for fleet operations.

Laser Photonics manufactures laser systems for industrial and defense applications, serving markets including aerospace, energy, maritime, automotive, and manufacturing. The company develops technologies for cleaning, surface preparation, and precision material processing.
