June 9, 2026 8:32 AM

Seattle Sounders FC announced it has selected CrowdStrike (NASDAQ: CRWD) and Redapt to strengthen cybersecurity operations ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026.

The partnership involves Redapt providing strategic advisory services and virtual chief information security officer engagement to help assess risk and identify security gaps. The initiative will implement CrowdStrike Falcon Complete, which provides 24/7 managed detection and response services.

"When the world is watching, organizations can't afford fragmented security operations or reactive approaches to protect against cyber risk," said Daniel Bernard, chief business officer at CrowdStrike.

Redapt CEO Rick Cantu stated that the collaboration aims to "align strategy, operations, and security to support the organization at scale" as the soccer club prepares for increased operational demands.

Kari Escobedo, interim chief technology officer at Seattle Sounders FC, said strengthening cybersecurity is critical as the organization expands digital operations and prepares for international events that will increase brand reach.

The security strategy focuses on simplifying operations, improving visibility across environments, and reducing cyber risk during a period of heightened global attention. The implementation utilizes CrowdStrike's AI-native Falcon platform to provide unified cybersecurity protection.

CrowdStrike describes itself as a global cybersecurity company that provides cloud-native platform protection for endpoints, cloud workloads, identity and data. Redapt operates as a technology solutions provider specializing in digital transformation services including cybersecurity and virtual CISO offerings.

The announcement comes from a press release issued by the companies regarding the cybersecurity partnership.
