Horizon Aircraft completes flight dynamics model for Cavorite X7 aircraft

June 9, 2026 8:03 AM

Horizon Aircraft Ltd. (NASDAQ: HOVR) announced that Marshall Aerospace has completed a flight dynamics and control model for the company's Cavorite X7 hybrid-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft.

Marshall Aerospace's Aero Engineering Services division conducted analysis to model how the X7's aerodynamic, propulsion and mass characteristics influence flight behavior. The result is a six degrees of freedom flight model designed to support development of the aircraft's control system.

"The delivery of the first flight model for the Cavorite X7 marks a strong start to our partnership with Marshall Aerospace," said Tom Brassington, Horizon Aircraft's Chief Technology Officer.

Marshall Aerospace specializes in aircraft design, integration, certification, maintenance and manufacturing. The British company has worked on C-130 Hercules aircraft support since 1966 and partners with governments and military operators on aerospace programs.

The flight model will enable Horizon Aircraft to predict and optimize how the aircraft responds to control inputs as the company develops its hybrid-electric VTOL aircraft. Horizon Aircraft stated the partnership leverages Marshall's experience with platform modifications and special mission conversions.

Horizon Aircraft is developing what it describes as a hybrid-electric aircraft designed to operate primarily in wing-borne flight. The company plans to pursue testing and certification of its aircraft for potential use by regional operators, emergency service providers and military customers.

The information was provided in a company press release.
