KBR wins $95 million Space Force digital engineering contract

KBR (NYSE: KBR) announced its Mission Technology Solutions business received a $95 million Digital Engineering and Enterprise Decision Support contract from the U.S. Space Force. The cost-plus-fixed-fee contract spans five years and will support digital engineering capabilities for space systems and space warfighting technologies.

The single-award contract will support Space Force missions at the Air Force Research Laboratory's Space Warfare Directorate, with work performed at Kirtland Air Force Base in New Mexico. KBR will provide Model-Based Systems Engineering and advanced Modeling and Simulation services to accelerate technology development and operational readiness.

"By integrating advanced software, systems engineering, modeling and simulation and operations research, we help our customers field critical space capabilities faster and with greater confidence."

The Houston-based company will focus on rapid analysis, architecture development and requirements planning to accelerate the transition of space capabilities from concept to operational deployment. KBR employs approximately 36,000 people worldwide with operations in over 28 countries.

The contract award builds on KBR's digital engineering and analysis work for defense and space missions spanning more than a decade, according to the company's press release statement.
