Interactive Brokers offers commission-free BlackRock ETFs in Europe

June 9, 2026 5:56 AM

Interactive Brokers (NASDAQ: IBKR) launched commission-free iShares ETFs from BlackRock for eligible individual investors across the European Economic Area through its Recurring Investment feature.

The offering includes more than 500 iShares ETFs spanning bonds, equities, themes and sectors. Investors can access these funds without trading commissions through automated periodic contributions starting from €10.

The Recurring Investments feature allows clients to select individual ETFs or ETF portfolios, set contribution amounts and regular schedules for investing in iShares UCITS ETFs. Investors maintain control over timing and investment decisions while automating their contributions.

"Investors should be able to build diversified, long-term portfolios without paying to do it," said Kevin Keller, Chief Executive Officer of Interactive Brokers Ireland Limited. "By offering commission-free iShares ETFs alongside our full range of global markets on a single platform, we're giving European investors a cost-efficient way to put more of their money to work and keep it invested over time."

Christian Bimueller, Head of Digital Distribution Continental Europe at BlackRock, noted that ETFs are becoming more popular among individual investors for their simplicity, diversification and low cost. He said recurring investment plans make ETFs accessible for building investment habits over time.

According to BlackRock's People & Money 2025 study, ETFs have grown at an annualized rate of 19% since 2022 and represent the third most-owned investment vehicle in Europe.

Product availability varies by Interactive Brokers affiliate and client country of residence, according to the company's press release.
