New Jersey American Water appoints David Forcinito as VP of operations
New Jersey American Water announced the appointment of David Forcinito as Vice President of Operations, according to a company statement. Forcinito previously served as Vice President of Fleet for American Water (NYSE: AWK).
Forcinito replaces Ben Morris, who is transitioning to a role as Vice President of Operations for Strategic Programs at American Water. In his new position, Forcinito will oversee statewide operations including water production, wastewater collection, and field services for 3 million customers across 18 counties.
Forcinito began his career with New Jersey American Water more than 35 years ago as a project engineer. He held various positions including Operations Superintendent, Maintenance Manager, Production/Field Operations Manager, and Senior Director of South Operations before becoming Vice President of Fleet for American Water in June 2024. He rejoined New Jersey American Water in April.
"Dave's deep roots in New Jersey American Water's operations and his decades of hands-on leadership make him exceptionally well suited for this role," said Mark McDonough, president of New Jersey American Water.
Forcinito holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Widener University and a Master of Science degree in water resources and environmental engineering from Villanova University. He is a registered Professional Engineer in New Jersey and holds New Jersey DEP operator licenses.
New Jersey American Water is a subsidiary of American Water and serves approximately 3 million people as the state's largest regulated water utility, employing about 875 people.
