FedEx appoints Mark Edmunds to board of directors
FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) announced that Mark A. Edmunds has been elected to its board of directors, according to a company statement.
Edmunds served as vice chairman and senior partner at Deloitte during a 38-year career with the consulting firm. He held various leadership roles including U.S. leader of Energy/Utilities, West Region managing partner, and member of the U.S. Board of Directors. His work focused primarily on energy, utilities, and renewables sectors.
The new board member currently serves on Westrock Coffee's board of directors and previously was a director for Chesapeake Energy from 2018 to 2021.
"His extensive background advising top-tier multinational organizations and his proven track record in financial and strategic governance will make him a vital asset to our board and our ongoing enterprise initiatives," said R. Brad Martin, executive chairman of the FedEx Board.
Edmunds will chair the Audit and Finance Committee and serve as a member of the Cyber and Technology Oversight Committee.
The Memphis-based shipping company provides transportation, e-commerce, and business services globally through its logistics network.
