S&P Global partners with Cohere to integrate financial data into AI platform

June 8, 2026 9:01 AM

S&P Global (NYSE: SPGI) announced a collaboration with Cohere to integrate its financial data into Cohere's enterprise AI platform called North. The partnership allows customers to access S&P Global's financial data directly within Cohere's platform for research, analysis, and reporting workflows.

The integration enables customers to run on-premise workloads within North using Cohere's AI models combined with S&P Global's data and their own enterprise information. Customers can access the data through natural language queries without building custom pipelines.

"We've done the work on the backend to make our data AI-ready, build the retrieval infrastructure, and partner with best-in-class AI providers, so that customers can simply put S&P Global to work in the platforms they already use," said Bhavesh Dayalji, Chief AI Officer of S&P Global and CEO of Kensho.

Frank O'Dowd, Chief Revenue & Commercial Officer of Cohere, stated that the collaboration provides financial institutions with a secure foundation to build AI workflows that connect to proprietary data.

The partnership builds on S&P Global's strategy to make its data available across multiple AI platforms where customers operate. The company has developed a data retrieval layer through its Kensho subsidiary that enables access to S&P Global intelligence across AI workflows.

The collaboration includes access to various S&P Global datasets such as S&P Capital IQ Financials and earnings call transcripts through a specialized API designed for large language models.
