Senseonics Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: SENS) presented real-world evidence data on its Eversense 365 continuous glucose monitoring system at the American Diabetes Association's Scientific Sessions in New Orleans on June 5-8.

The study analyzed 12,360 Eversense 365 CGM sensors among open-loop users and 153 closed-loop users who used the system with the twiist Automated Insulin Delivery system for more than 30 days. The data expands on findings previously shared at the International Conference on Advanced Technologies & Treatments for Diabetes earlier this year.

Results showed an average transmitter wear time of 93.19% across all sensors. Users achieved a mean Glucose Management Indicator of 7.16% and mean Time In Range of 66.16%. More than 81% of users met hypoglycemic targets. The analysis found comparable results between the first and second six-month periods of sensor use.

For closed-loop system users, the data showed a mean Time In Range of approximately 76.08% and Glucose Management Indicator of 6.78% after the first 30 days following pump pairing. These users had a median sensor wear time of 99.46%.

"This real-world data showcases the positive impact that Eversense 365 is bringing to patients, regardless of their preferred treatment plan," said Francine Kaufman, Chief Medical Officer at Senseonics.

Eversense 365 is an implantable CGM system that provides glucose monitoring for up to one year. The system requires sensor insertion and removal by a healthcare provider and is indicated for use in adults with diabetes aged 18 and older to replace fingerstick blood glucose measurements for treatment decisions.

The company reported that the system delivered outcomes within ranges reported for other CGM systems in real-world settings, according to the press release statement.
