GNP Seguros expands Palantir AI platform across all insurance lines
GNP Seguros, Mexico's largest insurer, announced a multi-year, multi-million dollar enterprise expansion agreement with Palantir Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: PLTR) to deploy artificial intelligence capabilities across all its insurance product lines.
The agreement expands GNP's existing use of Palantir's Artificial Intelligence Platform (AIP) from targeted deployments to its complete portfolio, including health, life, auto, and damage insurance. GNP becomes Palantir's first publicly announced commercial customer in Mexico.
GNP has been using Palantir's platform for several years to detect claims fraud, monitor risk, and adapt underwriting processes. The expanded deployment will unify data across claims, underwriting, and operations into a single system, according to the companies' joint announcement.
The platform enables GNP to deploy AI agents that identify anomalous claims patterns and flag potential fraud before payments are processed. In underwriting, GNP is building an intelligent decision engine to replace legacy systems where rule changes previously required months to implement.
"Palantir Foundry and AIP have given us the ability to act on our data at a scale and speed that was not possible before," said Enrique Ibarra, Chief Information & Transformation Officer at GNP Seguros.
GNP Seguros, part of Grupo BAL business consortium, has operated for over 120 years. The company stated the technology helps it serve policyholders more efficiently across Mexico.
Eduardo Esteve, Vice President for Latin America at Palantir Technologies, described GNP as "one of Mexico's most important institutions" in the announcement.
