McCarthy partners with Palantir for AI-powered construction platform
McCarthy Building Companies and Palantir Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: PLTR) announced a multi-year, multi-million dollar partnership to integrate artificial intelligence across McCarthy's construction operations.
The collaboration centers on McCarthy's AI Operations Suite called Pulse, built on Palantir's Artificial Intelligence Platform. The system provides real-time insights, scenario planning and risk analysis for field teams including superintendents, project managers and operators on active job sites.
"We're incredibly excited about our partnership with Palantir and believe we've invested in the premier platform on the market," said Justin McFarland, Chief Digital Officer of McCarthy. The partnership aims to transform operational concepts into scalable solutions across McCarthy's workflows from design to field execution.
McCarthy will use Palantir's platform across multiple functions including field execution, estimating, contracts, bidding, quality control, logistics and equipment planning. The companies plan to connect these workflows through a unified system to share insights across different business areas.
"Through this partnership, McCarthy is accelerating its technology ambition and deploying an AI operating system for their entire construction operations, from design through job site execution," said Tristan Gruska, Palantir's Head of Energy and Infrastructure.
Dave Evans, McCarthy Senior Superintendent, stated the partnership allows field personnel to focus on critical tasks rather than managing emails, documents and data.
McCarthy, founded more than 160 years ago, ranks as the 15th largest domestic builder according to Engineering News-Record. The company operates with over 8,000 employees across offices in multiple states and is 100 percent employee-owned.
The information is based on a press release statement from the companies.
