Datadog achieves FedRAMP High certification for government cloud services
Datadog Inc. (NASDAQ: DDOG) announced it has achieved FedRAMP High certification, enabling the monitoring and security platform to serve federal agencies with sensitive data requirements.
FedRAMP High represents the federal government's most stringent cloud security and compliance standard, designed to protect controlled unclassified information in cloud environments. The certification enforces strict security controls for confidentiality, integrity and availability of critical information.
Federal agencies handling sensitive data with high impact potential in case of security breaches require FedRAMP High certification. This includes agencies managing critical information such as law enforcement and emergency services.
"Achieving FedRAMP High certification places Datadog among a select group of tech companies certified to operate in highly sensitive federal environments," said Emilio Escobar, chief information security officer at Datadog. "FedRAMP High certification gives U.S. government agencies and contractors the assurance they need to adopt Datadog for secure workloads."
The certification represents part of Datadog's multi-year investment in serving the U.S. public sector. The company describes itself as a monitoring and security platform for cloud applications that provides businesses with unified visibility across technology stacks.
The announcement was made in a press release statement from the New York-based company.
