Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd. (NASDAQ: GILT) announced it received an order exceeding $7 million through a prime contractor to support the U.S. Department of War with its EnduroStream solid-state power amplifier solution. Delivery is scheduled over the next 24 months.

The order covers Gilat's EnduroStream product line, which the company describes as high-power solid-state power amplifiers designed to replace traveling wave tube amplifiers in gateway and high-power terminal applications. The technology targets mission-critical defense environments.

"This order confirms the need for a purpose-built, high-power solid-state solution that delivers the inherent advantages of SSPAs while meeting stringent power and resiliency requirements for modern military SATCOM," said Edgar Khachatryan, President of Gilat Wavestream.

Gilat stated this represents the opening of a new market category within the defense sector for the EnduroStream product line. The company indicated the solution offers improved reliability and operational resilience compared to traditional traveling wave tube amplifier-based systems.

Gilat Satellite Networks, based in Petah Tikva, Israel, develops satellite networking technology and solutions. The company operates through commercial and defense divisions, offering satellite communication equipment including terminals, antennas, and amplifiers.
