Apple schedules WWDC for June 8-12 with online and in-person events
Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) announced its annual Worldwide Developers Conference will take place June 8-12, combining online programming with a special in-person event at Apple Park on the opening day.
The conference will feature updates to Apple's software platforms, including artificial intelligence advancements and new developer tools. The event begins with a keynote presentation and Platforms State of the Union on June 8.
The online portion will include more than 100 video sessions and interactive labs where developers can connect with Apple engineers and designers. Programming will be available through the Apple Developer app, website, YouTube channel, and bilibili channel in China.
The in-person component at Apple Park will offer limited attendance for developers and students to watch presentations, participate in labs, and meet with Apple staff. Attendees must submit requests through the Apple Developer website.
Apple will announce Swift Student Challenge winners on March 26, with winning students eligible to request attendance at the Apple Park event. Fifty distinguished winners will receive invitations to a three-day experience in Cupertino.
"WWDC is one of the most exciting times for us at Apple because it's a chance for our incredible global developer community to come together," said Susan Prescott, Apple's vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations.
The company will provide additional conference details through its developer channels ahead of the event. The information is based on an Apple press release statement.
