Xylem (XYL) Misses Q1 EPS by 4c, Revenues Miss; Lowers FY19 EPS Guidance, Affirms FY19 Revenue Guidance Below Consensus

Xylem (NYSE: XYL) reported Q1 EPS of $0.52, $0.04 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.56. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.2 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.25 billion.

“We continue to see robust momentum in the demand for our solutions as we help our customers solve their water challenges and drive the digital transformation of the sector,” said Patrick Decker, President and Chief Executive Officer of Xylem. “While we’re disappointed with our margin performance in the quarter, we’re confident in our long-term growth outlook and in continuing to achieve attractive margin expansion.”

GUIDANCE:

Xylem sees FY2019 EPS of $3.12-$3.32, versus the consensus of $3.30. Xylem sees FY2019 revenue of $5.3-5.4 billion, versus the consensus of $5.42 billion.
