Columbia Banking System (NASDAQ: COLB) declared a special dividend of $0.20 per share. This is an 11% increase from the $0.18 special cash dividend paid during the fourth quarter 2015.

The dividend will be payable on February 24, 2016, to stockholders of record on February 10, 2016, with an ex-dividend date of February 25, 2016.

The annual yield on the dividend is 0.7 percent.
