Empery Digital repurchases 23.6 million shares under $200 million program
Empery Digital Inc. (NASDAQ: EMPD) has repurchased 23,630,147 shares of its common stock under its $200 million share repurchase program as of March 27, 2026, according to a company statement. The shares were purchased at an average price of $5.83 per share, including fees and commissions.
Following the repurchases, the company has 32,428,307 shares outstanding after accounting for the potential exercise of 2,696,395 pre-funded warrants.
During the week ending March 27, 2026, the company sold 79 bitcoin at an average price of $71,031 per bitcoin, generating approximately $5.6 million in gross proceeds. The funds were used to finance share repurchases and increase cash reserves. Empery Digital currently holds 3,359 bitcoin in its treasury.
The Austin, Texas-based company stated that management remains focused on maximizing per-share value through share repurchases at prices below net asset value. The company indicated it has sufficient cash to execute repurchases while maintaining appropriate leverage ratios.
Management plans to use existing cash balances and reduce bitcoin holdings as necessary to fund future share repurchases and potentially repay portions of outstanding debt, according to the statement.
