According to headlines from Bloomberg, SEC Chairman Cox said the agency has "comfort" with Bear Stearns (NYSE: BSC) capital adequacy. Cox said the SEC monitoring capital at major US securities firms.
Yesterday, Bear Stearns had to publicly deny rumors of a liquidity crunch following an aggressive sell-off in the stock.
