Spirit Airlines prepares to cease operations overnight, sources say

May 1 (Reuters) - Bankrupt discount carrier Spirit Airlines is preparing to cease operations around 3 a.m. on Saturday (0700 GMT), two people close to the discussions, who declined to be named as the information is private, told Reuters late on Friday.
One of the people said that Spirit board meeting ended without an agreement to rescue the company.
