Spirit Airlines prepares to cease operations overnight, sources say

May ‌1 (Reuters) - Bankrupt ​discount ​carrier Spirit Airlines ‌is preparing to ⁠cease operations around ‌3 a.m. on ‌Saturday (0700 GMT), two people close ​to the discussions, who ⁠declined to be named ​as the information is private, told ​Reuters late ‌on Friday.

One of the ⁠people said that Spirit ⁠board meeting ended without ​an agreement to rescue the company.
