Atlanta Fed raises U.S. second-quarter GDP view to 3 percent

NEW YORK (Reuters) - The U.S. economy is expanding at 3.0 percent annualized pace in the second quarter based on the latest data on manufacturing activity and construction spending, the Atlanta Federal Reserve's GDP Now forecast model showed on Monday.

The latest second-quarter gross domestic product estimate was higher than the previous figure of 2.7 percent calculated on Friday, the Atlanta Fed said.
