September 27, 2017 11:31 AM EDT

NEW YORK (Reuters) - The U.S. economy is on track to grow at a 2.1 percent annualized pace in the third quarter based on the latest data on existing home sales and durable goods orders, the Atlanta Federal Reserve's GDP Now forecast model showed on Wednesday.

The latest third-quarter gross domestic product estimate was slower than the 2.2 percent growth rate calculated on Sept. 19, the Atlanta Fed said.
