Warren Kanders Acquires Mountain Khakis(R)

STAMFORD, CT -- (Marketwired) -- 04/30/15 -- Warren B. Kanders, through an affiliate of Kanders & Company, Inc. ("Kanders") has acquired substantially all of the assets and business of Mountain Khakis LLC (the "Company") from majority owner Remington Arms Company ("Remington") and other minority members.

Founded in 2003, Mountain Khakis is a rapidly growing multi-channel designer, developer and marketer of a broad line of premium branded lifestyle apparel and accessories inspired by mountain life. The Company's design and product development is based in Jackson Hole, WY where it was founded, and its corporate office and eastern distribution center are located in Charlotte, NC.

Warren B. Kanders, the President and owner of Kanders, currently serves as Executive Chairman of Black Diamond Inc. (NASDAQ: BDE) which owns the Black Diamond® and POC® brands and also as the Chairman and CEO of Safariland LLC.

Mr. Kanders will join as the Chairman of the Company, while Mr. Ross Saldarini, who co-founded the Company and has taken the business from an idea scratched on a napkin in a Jackson Hole saloon to the well-established brand it is today, will continue to serve in the role of President.
