Verdezyne Launches New Corrosion Inhibitor

CARLSBAD, Calif. and PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y., Feb 15, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Verdezyne Inc., a synthetic biology company producing biobased chemicals, and Aceto Corporation (ACET), a leader in the marketing, sales and distribution of specialty chemicals in the U.S., announce the introduction of FerroShield HC, a nitrate-free dibasic acid mixture with exceptional ferrous corrosion inhibition properties.

Verdezyne's FerroShield HC can be used in a number of corrosion inhibitor applications, including metalworking fluids, engine coolants, metal cleaners, die cast release agents, and aqueous hydraulic fluids. FerroShield HC has been successfully produced at commercial scale and production material is now available for sample and sale.
