Thumbtack Appoints P.J. Linarducci as Chief Product Officer
Technology Veteran Joins Following Nearly 10-Year Career at Meta
SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Thumbtack, the modern home management platform, today announced the appointment of P.J. Linarducci as Chief Product Officer. An experienced consumer technology leader, he has scaled product development organizations for some of the most successful technology companies in the world.
“P.J. drives massive impact for his companies and his teams, and will make a big mark at Thumbtack,” said Marco Zappacosta, co-founder and CEO of Thumbtack. “At Meta, he spearheaded products that touched the everyday lives of more than 1 billion consumers and small businesses around the world. As we double down on accelerating growth, P.J.'s talent, experience, and drive will help us go further faster to become the only app homeowners need.”
In this new role, Linarducci will lead the company’s Product Management, Design, and Analytics departments, and will report to Zappacosta. He has deep expertise in payments, marketplace businesses, and e-commerce infrastructure, all of which will power Thumbtack’s growth. What’s more, Linarducci’s focus on building creative, diverse, and execution-oriented teams will help the company bring to market new innovative experiences for homeowners.
“Thumbtack is one of the fastest-growing players in a $500 billion industry still in the early stages of moving to digital. The untapped potential is enormous,” Linarducci said. “I look forward to joining this talented team, at this moment in time. By helping take care of the place they call home, we can bring homeowners peace of mind — all while empowering small businesses to grow profitably and better serve their communities.”
Linarducci joins Thumbtack after spending nearly 10 years in leadership roles at Meta, where he helped to create and grow areas like payments, commerce, advertising, and messaging. During this time, he was responsible for the products and platforms that power Facebook Marketplace, Instagram Shopping, Charitable Donations, Creator Monetization, and Advertising. Prior to Meta, Linarducci worked in PayPal’s Mobile Product Group and held business development, strategy, and business operations roles at consumer technology firms across Silicon Valley.
With Thumbtack, homeowners can effortlessly manage everything in and around their home, and small businesses can grow more profitably. In the last year, more than 4 million Americans started projects on Thumbtack and home service professionals earned billions through the platform.
