A total of $42.7 billion was raised in 875 transactions throughout 2016. Of this amount, 9 transactions totaling $61.2 million have been announced but not yet closed as of 01/12/2017. Deal volume is down 2% (897 deals in 2015) but dollar volume increased 8% ($39.6 billion in 2015).
