Interactive Media Awards honor tech company’s eGov websites, services
HARRISBURG, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The Interactive Media Council, Inc. has awarded Pennsylvania Interactive (PAI) three Interactive Media Awards™ for its innovative work creating mobile-friendly websites for the commonwealth. The annual competition rewards online excellence based on criteria such as a website’s design, content, functionality, and usability.
Securing wins in the competition’s government category, PAI was honored with a Best in Class Award for developing Pennsylvania’s official website for Gov. Tom Wolf. In addition, PAI earned Outstanding Achievement Awards for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT) website and an online donation application for the Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA).
“PAI helps citizens access government services online. We are honored to be recognized for the work we’ve been doing in Pennsylvania. It has been a pleasure working with the commonwealth, and we look forward to expanding our state’s digital capabilities,” says PAI General Manager Mike Ansley.
The three winning entries combine user-friendly content and responsive design, so they can easily be accessed on an array of devices including smartphones, tablets, and computers. The website for Gov. Wolf (www.governor.pa.gov) makes it easy for visitors to get the latest news, contact the Governor’s Office, and connect via social media. The PennDOT website (www.penndot.gov) links drivers to online vehicle services, highlights construction projects, and provides 511PA travel information. The DMVA application (www.donate.dmva.pa.gov) provides a secure way for individuals to make tax-deductible contributions online to support a variety of veteran-related causes such as:
- The Veterans’ Trust Fund
- The Military Family Relief Assistance Program
- The Pennsylvania Veterans’ Memorial at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery
- Any of the six Pennsylvania State Veterans Homes across the Commonwealth
All of these websites and services were developed by PAI, a subsidiary of NIC, Inc.
