Otis Builds BIMCreate™ Tool for 3D Elevator Design

JUPITER, Fla., Oct. 26, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Otis Elevator introduces BIMCreate, a new online tool that allows architects to create customized 3D files for building plans. BIMCreate is the latest product offering from Otis, the world's largest manufacturer and maintainer of people-moving products for buildings, including elevators, escalators and moving walkways. BIMCreate was developed as a complimentary add-in for Revit® building information modeling (BIM) software. With Otis BIMCreate, architects can design a precise Revit file for their project instead of selecting from pre-existing templates in the software. Another distinctive feature is the tool's ability to read building heights from the architect's model. This saves the user time and improves the accuracy of important dimensions. Architects can also make structural decisions on key elevator components such as hoistway walls, pit depths and overhead requirements.
