Oracle Appoints David Donatelli to Lead Converged Infrastructure Business

REDWOOD SHORES, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 06/18/15 -- As Oracle (NYSE: ORCL) continues to lead in hardware, the company has hired technology industry veteran and hardware infrastructure expert David Donatelli as Executive Vice President, Converged Infrastructure.

Reporting directly to Oracle CEO Mark Hurd, Donatelli will be responsible for Oracle infrastructure offerings including the company's engineered systems, server, storage, networking and tape products. He will also help the company respond to customer demand for Oracle's hardware solutions that operate in a hybrid cloud environment.

"I can think of no one more qualified to continue to accelerate our growth, differentiate our offerings, and further cement the leadership of Oracle's global hardware business."

Most recently, Donatelli served as executive vice president and general manager of the Enterprise Group at Hewlett-Packard. In that role, he led the group responsible for the enterprise hardware business, which includes storage, server, networking and converged infrastructure solutions.
