Opus Bank Further Expands Its Arizona Commercial Banking Team

Joshua Shade Joins as Managing Director, Senior Client Manager - Commercial Banking, Arizona Region

IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Opus Bank (“Opus” or the “Bank”) (NASDAQ: OPB) announced today that Joshua Shade has joined Opus as Managing Director, Senior Client Manager – Commercial Banking, Arizona Region. Mr. Shade, a 17-year banking and finance veteran, is focused on expanding Opus’ commercial and corporate client base in the Phoenix metropolitan region.

Mr. Shade joins Opus Bank most recently from Bank of the West, where he served as Vice President, National Banking Division and focused on middle market and large corporate clients in the Phoenix metropolitan region. From 2009 through 2011, Mr. Shade served as Vice President, Commercial Banking with BBVA Compass Bank, where he focused on developing new relationships with middle market companies. From 2007 to 2009, Mr. Shade served as Vice President & Senior Relationship Manager, Business Banking with Wachovia Corporation and focused on developing new relationships with lower-middle market companies. Earlier in his career, Mr. Shade served in business development roles with JP Morgan Chase & Co. and Bank One Corporation both in the Phoenix metropolitan region and began his banking career in 1999 with National City Corporation in Cleveland, Ohio. Mr. Shade holds a B.A. in Economic Management from Ohio Wesleyan University, an M.B.A. from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University, and completed the Global Leadership Certificate Program at the Thunderbird School of Management. Mr. Shade was a member of the Valley Leadership Institute’s Class XXIX and a volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona.
