Josh Schimmer Joins Evercore ISI Research Team

Evercore (NYSE: EVR) announced today that Josh Schimmer has joined the Evercore ISI Healthcare Research team, as a Senior Managing Director, launching Small and Mid-Cap Biotech research coverage.  He will also help expand coverage in Large-Cap Biotech. Dr. Schimmer was a runner up in the 2015 and 2016 Institutional Investor's All America Research Team for SMID Biotech.  Umer Raffat will continue to lead Evercore ISI's Large-Cap effort across Biotech, Pharma-Major and Specialty Pharma.   

Dr. Schimmer was most recently a Managing Director & Senior Research Analyst at Piper Jaffray, covering companies in the Biotech sector.  Prior to that, he was a Managing Director at Lazard Capital Markets and held research positions at Leerink Swann, Davidson Kempner and Cowen and Company.
