Joe Cranny Appointed Vice President, Minneapolis Branch

MINNEAPOLIS, Jan. 3, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- CNA today announced the appointment of Joe Cranny as Vice President for the company's Minneapolis Branch, effective Jan. 17, 2017. In this role, Cranny will lead the branch to cultivate deeper relationships with producers, accelerate CNA's market presence and continue to shape a portfolio of mutually profitable business. He reports to Steve Wachtel, Senior Vice President and Northern Zone Officer.

"Joe's strong leadership, depth of knowledge of the Minnesota insurance landscape and extensive experience in commercial underwriting, producer engagement, and portfolio management make him uniquely qualified to lead CNA's Minneapolis Branch," Wachtel said.

Cranny joins CNA with more than 30 years of insurance industry experience. Most recently, he served as Regional Vice President for Hanover Insurance Group. In this role, Cranny was responsible for opening Hanover's Minnesota Branch, which was selected as Hanover's 2016 Commercial Lines branch of the year for the entire country based on top- and bottom-line performance.

Cranny hold a business administration degree from the University of San Diego and is a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU).
