Ethan Allen Doubles Down in Vegas

DANBURY, Conn., Dec. 8, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- As of last Saturday, Greater Las Vegas has a new home for classic American design. Ethan Allen has relocated to the upscale shopping and entertainment destination Downtown Summerlin, and doubled its space in the process.

The sleek new Design Center is a 9,000-square-foot showcase of some new directions for the 83-year old brand. "This is an Ethan Allen some people may not recognize," says Ethan Allen Chairman, President and CEO Farooq Kathwari. "The products are relaxed and relevant to today's lifestyles, the technology on the floor is state of the art, and the Design Center itself is where our customers live and play."

On display throughout the new Design Center are hundreds of all-new designs the brand calls "The Next Classics." There are wall-mounted touchscreen monitors where shoppers can explore the world of Ethan Allen, and a comfortable design studio where they can work with professional designers, each of whom carries a tablet PC to facilitate the creative process.

The company still crafts much of its furniture by hand in its own North American workshops, but today those styles are surprisingly eclectic, and shoppers will also find that the brand's long-standing reputation for fashionable, fine quality furnishings now extends to rugs, lighting, window treatments, collectible artwork, decorative accents and more.
