Christopher T. Calio Appointed President of Pratt & Whitney Commercial Engines

EAST HARTFORD, Conn., Jan. 31, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Pratt & Whitney today announced the appointment of Christopher T. Calio as president of the company's commercial engines business, effective Feb. 1 and reporting to Pratt & Whitney President Bob Leduc. Pratt & Whitney is a division of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).

Calio joined United Technologies Corp. (UTC) in 2005 as assistant counsel and has served in several positions of increasing responsibility across UTC. Calio led the Commercial Engines Legal Department during development and launch of Pratt & Whitney's A320neo program, and was instrumental in leading the company's acquisition of Rolls-Royce's program share in the IAE collaboration.  In addition to his previous leadership experience with Pratt & Whitney Commercial Engines, he has also been a key business partner in leadership roles at Otis, UTC Aerospace Systems, and most recently as chief of staff for the UTC Chairman and CEO.
