Boeing Honors FELLFAB Limited for Exceptional Performance

Boeing presented FELLFAB® with a Supplier of the Year award April 15 for its exceptional performance and contributions to Boeing's overall success during 2014. FELLFAB® supplies Cabin Curtains to all Boeing Commercial Aircraft programs including Spares.

The Hamilton, Ontario, Canada based company was one of 14 companies and one university to receive a Supplier of the Year award, presented during a gala awards ceremony.

He added that Boeing must have a global supply chain that is capable of recognizing and reducing risk, while demonstrating a strong commitment to customer service and consistent performance excellence.

In 2014 Boeing spent $62 billion with more than 13,000 suppliers from 47 countries. Supplier- provided components and assemblies make up more than 60 percent of the cost of Boeing products. Suppliers played a key role for Boeing last year when its defense business won significant new contracts and commercial airplanes set an industry record for deliveries in a single year.

The selection of the winning suppliers is based on statistical measurements of quality, on-time delivery, post-delivery support, cost and their ability to anticipate and respond to changing customer requirements.
