Bears, Packers Games Among Most Expensive on Secondary Market

August 4, 2015 11:38 AM EDT

SOUTH WINDSOR, CT -- (Marketwired) -- 08/04/15 -- Despite not making it to the playoffs earlier this year, tickets for Chicago Bears games are still in high demand on the secondary market, according to TicketNetwork.com's study on NFL prices across the league. More specifically, two games featuring the Bears and long-time rival Green Bay Packers have the most expensive average ticket prices.

The first, a home game at Soldier Field on September 13, has Bears tickets running $311 on average*. The second, an away game at Lambeau Field on November 26, is the most expensive NFL game on the secondary market, with tickets averaging $499. With an overall average price of $244, the Bears have the fifth most expensive tickets among all teams with tickets listed at TicketNetwork.com. Although ticket prices remain high in general, they did see a 10% drop versus 2014, when they were $246 on average.

One factor keeping prices high, despite less than stellar seasons during the past four years, is the dedication of fans to the team. The Bears have long had a strong fan base in the Chicago area, and although they were not a highly winning team in recent years, their historic success made beloved by residents of the city and surrounding areas.

Fans looking to attend a game will find a get-in price of $107 on average, with some games having a get-in under $100. Although most of these games are on the road, three of them are at home:

  • Vs. San Francisco 49ers on December 6: $99
  • Vs. Washington Redskins on December 13: $90
  • Vs. Detroit Lions on January 3: $94

As with the average ticket price, the two games with the highest get-ins are those against the Packers:

  • Vs. Green Bay Packers on September 13: $185
  • At Green Bay Packers on November 22: $288
