FORT WORTH, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Allied Electronics, a trading brand of Electrocomponents plc (LSE: ECM), won Distinguished Awards for “Distributor of the Year” and “New Product Sales Growth” by HARTING at EDS 2016, the premier electronics distribution event, held last month in Las Vegas, NV.

The “Distributor of the Year” was awarded to Allied based on three criteria: for growth of sales revenue by more than any other HARTING distributor in 2015, for growth of new product sales in 2015, and the outstanding overall partnership between HARTING and Allied.

Allied was also singled out with a second award for “New Product Sales Growth,” due to its new product sales growth by more than any other HARTING distributor.

“HARTING is a valuable partner for Allied, and we are proud to be their largest distributor in North America,” said Product Manager Megan Winkler. “The ‘Distributor of the Year’ award is a testament to the joint efforts of HARTING and Allied sales teams in local markets.”
