AdvisorShares Announces the DIVI ETF Will Close

BETHESDA, Md., March 23, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- AdvisorShares, a leading sponsor of actively managed exchange-traded funds (ETFs), announced today that the AdvisorShares Athena High Dividend ETF (NYSE Arca: DIVI) will now close. The original plan, as stated on March 13, 2017, will proceed. The fund will sell its equity positions on March 31, 2017, and the last day of trading will be April 3, 2017, which will also be the final day for creations or redemptions by authorized participants. The fund will cease operations, withdraw its assets, and distribute the remaining proceeds to shareholders on or after April 7, 2017.
