3M and Zirkonzahn Settle Patent Infringement Action
ST. PAUL, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- 3M Company and Zirkonzahn SRL and Zirkonzahn Deutschland GmbH, announced today they have amicably settled a patent infringement lawsuit brought by 3M under 3M’s European Patent No. 1,154,969 B2 against Zirkonzahn before the district court of Düsseldorf, Germany.
The suit involved 3M’s patented technology that enables dimensionally precise sintering of dental ceramics. As a result of the settlement, Zirkonzahn SRL and Zirkonzahn Deutschland GmbH will license this patented technology from 3M to the end of the patent protection period.
