S&P 500 Financials Remain Appealing to Options Traders Amid Tumultuous 2016 (XLF)
The financial sector might still be appealing for some traders.
According to the WSJ, citing data from Trade Alert, around 42 percent of options traders were bullish on the S&P 500 financial segment. That is the highest count since mid-April and higher than average since January, when it was 29.5 percent.
Most see the financial sector as having been battered early this year, only recovering to be hit with the Brexit vote in June.
The Financial Select Sector SPDR ETF (NYSE: XLF) is on watch amid the news.
