On this evening's earnings call, Oracle (NYSE: ORCL) Chairman Larry Ellison said Snowflake (NYSE: SNOW) is killing Amazon's (NASDAQ: AMZN) Redshift. Ellison goes on to say that while this is happening, Oracle has an even better product.
"One of -- and you can see there's not a lot of strong competition from Amazon because what's going on with Snow, you're curious what's happening with Snowflake," Ellioson commented. "Snowflake is a decent product, a good product, I think. And it's just killing Redshift over at Amazon. So it's doing extremely well. But it doesn't remotely compare to Oracle's Autonomous Database. It doesn't do transactions at all. And in fact, in query processing, it's not even close to a SaaS as the Oracle database."
