U.S. Bank has appointed Daniel Farley as chief investment officer for its Wealth Management Asset Management Group, according to a company statement.
Farley will oversee investment strategy, portfolio construction, asset allocation and investment decisions for more than 480,000 wealth management clients. He is based in Minneapolis.
Farley has been with U.S. Bank since 2010, most recently serving as Private Wealth Management Midwest region executive, where he led a team of more than 300 professionals. He has also held roles as regional investment director and senior portfolio manager at the bank.
Before joining U.S. Bank, Farley worked as a commercial real estate professional at Dougherty Financial Group and as chief financial officer at Master Development Services. He began his career as a combat engineer officer in the U.S. Army.
Farley holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA in finance and marketing from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Scott Ford, president of Wealth Management at U.S. Bank, said Farley "has delivered extraordinary results leading the Midwest region for U.S. Bank Private Wealth Management and played a key role in advancing initiatives that strengthen how we serve clients."
