TYRA appoints Bhavesh Ashar as COO and Heather Faulds as CRO

Tyra Biosciences Inc. (NASDAQ: TYRA) announced the appointment of Bhavesh Ashar as Chief Operating Officer and Heather Faulds as Chief Regulatory Officer, according to a company statement.



Ashar's appointment is effective immediately, while Faulds will begin her role December 8, 2025. The clinical-stage biotechnology company said both executives will support the advancement of oral dabogratinib through global Phase 2 studies in skeletal dysplasia and urologic cancers.



Ashar brings more than 25 years of pharmaceutical and biotechnology experience. He most recently served as Chief Commercial Officer at SpringWorks Therapeutics Inc. from 2021 through its acquisition by Merck KGaA in 2025. At SpringWorks, he built commercial infrastructure and launched two rare oncology products in the U.S.



Previously, Ashar held senior roles at Bayer as Senior Vice President and General Manager of U.S. Oncology, managing a portfolio spanning prostate, liver, colorectal and other cancer types. He also spent 15 years at Sanofi Genzyme in positions including Vice President and General Manager of U.S. Oncology.



Faulds has more than 20 years of experience in global regulatory strategies across development phases. She most recently served as SVP of Global Regulatory Sciences at Blueprint Medicines through its acquisition by Sanofi. Her background includes regulatory leadership roles at Fulcrum Therapeutics, Alkermes, Scholar Rock and Biogen.



At Biogen, Faulds led the global approval of treatments including PLEGRIDY for multiple sclerosis and contributed to the regulatory pathway for SPINRAZA, a spinal muscular atrophy treatment approved by the FDA in 90 days following submission.



Tyra Biosciences develops precision medicines targeting opportunities in Fibroblast Growth Factor Receptor biology. The company's lead candidate, oral dabogratinib, is an investigational FGFR3-selective inhibitor currently in development for skeletal dysplasia and urologic cancers.
