StubHub names Jack Sterne as head of policy communications

StubHub (NYSE: STUB) appointed Jack Sterne as Head of Policy Communications, a newly created position focused on public affairs and regulatory communications, according to a company statement.
Sterne will lead the ticket marketplace's policy communications strategy, including legislative advocacy and industry policy issues. The appointment comes as state policymakers examine regulations affecting the live events industry.
Most recently, Sterne served as Executive Director of New York Communications at JPMorganChase, where he directed external media relations. His responsibilities included advising on public affairs campaigns and supporting communications for business initiatives, including the firm's global headquarters opening at 270 Park Avenue.
Before JPMorganChase, Sterne worked for three years at SKDK, a public affairs consulting firm, where he managed campaigns supporting economic development projects. His government experience includes serving as Deputy Communications Director in the New York State Governor's Office during the COVID-19 pandemic, where he handled crisis communications and produced briefings for press conferences.
Sterne also held communications roles at Empire State Development and worked on political campaigns, including Letitia James's 2018 New York Attorney General campaign. He previously worked in the offices of New York State Senator Brian Kavanagh and New York City Comptroller Scott M. Stringer.
StubHub operates as a global secondary ticketing marketplace serving customers in over 200 countries and territories. The platform supports over 30 languages and accepts payments in over 45 currencies for various live events including sports, music, comedy, and theater performances.
