Skyworks appoints Philip Carter as chief financial officer

Skyworks Solutions Inc. (NASDAQ: SWKS) announced Philip Carter will serve as senior vice president and chief financial officer effective September 8, 2025, according to a press release statement.



Carter joins Skyworks from Advanced Micro Devices Inc., where he served as corporate vice president and chief accounting officer since November 2024, overseeing the company's accounting operations.



Carter previously worked at Skyworks for over seven years as vice president, corporate controller and principal accounting officer, leading strategic operational initiatives including financial transformation and operational scalability. Before his initial tenure at Skyworks, he spent over eight years at Broadcom Inc., where he helped transform the accounting organization during a period of growth. He began his career at Ernst & Young LLP.



Carter holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from California State University, Fullerton, and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Southern California. He is a certified public accountant in California and a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Rob Schriesheim, a board member who served as interim CFO since May 2025, will step down from the role. Carter will oversee Skyworks' financial strategy, investor relations, treasury and leadership of global finance and information technology organizations.



Skyworks develops analog and mixed-signal semiconductors for applications including aerospace, automotive, broadband, cellular infrastructure, and consumer electronics. The company is a member of the S&P 500 index.
