Red Robin names Humera Kassem chief people officer

Red Robin Gourmet Burgers, Inc. (NASDAQ: RRGB) appointed Humera Kassem as chief people officer, effective September 15, according to a company statement.

Kassem will oversee Red Robin's organizational strategy and vision, focusing on strengthening the company's culture and advancing its First Choice Plan. She brings more than 30 years of experience in cultivating organizational culture and talent development across various industries.

"I have had the pleasure of witnessing Humera's impactful leadership, and I'm confident that her proven ability to develop high-performance teams will be invaluable as we transform the Red Robin brand for the future," said Red Robin President and CEO Dave Pace.

Prior to joining Red Robin, Kassem served as chief people officer at Dave & Buster's. She previously held senior human resource roles at Coca-Cola, Delta Airlines, JCPenney and Jamba Juice. Kassem holds a Master of Organization Management degree from Dallas Baptist University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the University of Southern California.

Red Robin operates nearly 500 locations across the United States and Canada, including franchised restaurants. The Englewood, Colorado-based company was founded in 1969 and serves burgers, salads, appetizers and other menu items in a casual dining format.
