RLI promotes Gayathri Mariappan to vice president of IT

RLI Corp. (NYSE: RLI) promoted Gayathri Mariappan to Vice President of Information Technology, the specialty insurance company announced.

Mariappan will oversee RLI's enterprise IT strategy and advance technology initiatives focused on product distribution, customer experience, operational efficiency and business growth support.

"Gayathri brings a unique combination of technical expertise, insurance industry insight and a proven track record of collaborating across our diverse business lines," said RLI Corp. Chief Operating Officer Jen Klobnak.

Mariappan joined RLI in 2008 as a Senior Business Analyst and most recently served as Assistant Vice President of IT. She has more than 20 years of insurance industry experience and holds the Associate in Insurance Data Analytics and Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designations.

She earned a bachelor's degree in engineering from Karunya Institute of Technology and an MBA from Bharathiar University in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India.
