Potomac Bank names Brian Hester as VP commercial relationship manager
Potomac Bank (OTCID: PTBS) appointed Brian J. Hester as Vice President, Commercial Relationship Manager at its Charles Town, West Virginia headquarters. Hester will support existing commercial loan clients and develop new business relationships in Jefferson County, West Virginia.

Hester brings over 15 years of banking experience to his new role. He spent more than 10 years with Truist Bank (BB&T), most recently as Vice President for business lending. Prior to that, he worked over five years with First Bank Virginia as Assistant Vice President for lending, handling commercial, personal, and mortgage loans. He started his banking career as a teller at First Bank of Virginia.
Hester earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Shenandoah University and a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Randolph-Macon College. He completed the Virginia Bankers School of Bank Management and the BB&T Banking School at Wake Forest University.
Potomac Bank, a subsidiary of Potomac Bancshares, Inc., was founded in 1871 as Bank of Charles Town and renamed Potomac Bank in November 2025. The company reported total assets of $944 million as of December 31, 2026. The bank operates through nine branches and one loan production office serving the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia, Washington County, Maryland, and Northern Virginia.
