Penguin Solutions Inc. (NASDAQ: PENG) appointed Tony Frey as senior vice president and chief revenue officer and Ted Gillick as senior vice president of strategy and corporate development, the company announced.
Frey will begin his role on August 25, overseeing global sales for the company's Advanced Computing and Integrated Memory segments. He brings over 25 years of experience in enterprise technology, including previous positions as vice president of global strategic accounts at NetApp and multiple vice president roles at Informatica.
Gillick started his position on August 4. He has more than 20 years of experience in corporate development and investment banking across the technology sector. Before joining Penguin Solutions, he led global merger and acquisition efforts as senior vice president of corporate development at Dell Technologies.
The organizational changes include the departure of Pete Manca, senior vice president and president of Advanced Computing. The company eliminated this role as part of its revised structure.
"We are excited to have Tony and Ted join Penguin Solutions as we strengthen our organization for the future," said President and CEO Mark Adams. "These additions to our leadership team represent another step in our transformation from a legacy holding company organization to a more traditional leadership structure while setting us up for long-term success."
The appointments are part of an updated organizational structure intended to support the company's transformation to what it describes as an AI infrastructure solutions company, according to the press release.
