NioCorp appoints David Hamm as general counsel

NioCorp Developments Ltd. (NASDAQ: NB) announced the appointment of David Hamm as general counsel. Hamm brings more than 15 years of legal and business experience across mining, construction materials, and telecommunications sectors.
Hamm most recently served as senior vice president, deputy general counsel, and assistant secretary at Summit Materials Inc., where he supported the board of directors and oversaw Securities and Exchange Commission filings, disclosure matters, mergers and acquisitions, and compliance programs. He previously held the position of associate general counsel at Lumen Technologies Inc., advising on strategic transactions, corporate governance, and public-company disclosure.
Earlier in his career, Hamm practiced with several U.S. law firms, advising clients on mergers and acquisitions, finance, and governance matters. He also served as an adjunct professor at the University of Colorado Law School and the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, teaching securities regulation.
"David brings a wealth of public-company experience that will help NioCorp meet the highest standards of governance, disclosure, and commercial operations," said Mark A. Smith, NioCorp CEO and executive chairman.
Hamm earned his Master of Laws in Securities and Financial Regulation from Georgetown University Law Center in 2021 and his Juris Doctor from Louisiana State University's Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 2008.
NioCorp is developing a critical minerals project in Southeast Nebraska expected to produce niobium, scandium, and titanium. The company is also evaluating the potential to produce rare earths from the Elk Creek Project.
