Lazard Inc. (NYSE: LAZ) appointed Tracy Farr as chief financial officer, effective February 1, 2026, the financial advisory firm announced.

Farr, currently a managing director in Lazard's Capital Structure Advisory group, will succeed Mary Ann Betsch, who will serve as a senior advisor during the transition. Betsch joined Lazard in 2022 and guided the firm's transition to a C-corporation structure.

Farr has worked at Lazard for over a decade and previously served as a senior member of the corporate development and strategy team. Before joining Lazard in 2013, he worked as a certified public accountant and consultant at EY and as a researcher at the Financial Accounting Standards Board.

"Tracy brings a rare combination of strategic insight, financial rigor, and deep familiarity with our business," said Peter R. Orszag, Lazard CEO and chairman. "As CFO, he will lead efforts to improve operational efficiency, helping drive profitable growth and progress toward Lazard 2030 goals."

In his role as managing director, Farr advised clients on mergers and acquisitions transactions and led the firm's separations practice. He also served on Lazard's valuation and fairness opinion committees.

Farr holds bachelor's and master's degrees in accounting from Brigham Young University's Marriott School of Business, where he serves on the National Advisory Council.

The appointment coincides with Lazard's release of fourth quarter and full year 2025 financial results. Founded in 1848, Lazard operates in North and South America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia, providing financial advisory and asset management services.
